SurfIberia is a family run business that was established in 2006 when we first moved to Portugal from England. We found the building in a derelict state but saw the potential of what it had to offer and committed to renovating it to the surf lodge that it is today.
Surfing has always been a passion of coaches Luis and Keshia (brother and sister) from a young age, which was fuelled further by their progressions to European and finally Global stages of competition.
Luis Eyre, now head coach, has left the competitive world to take over the running of the lodge and is dedicated to giving you the highest standard of surf lessons there can be.
Meet the Team
Luis first started surfing at the age of 10 and started competing at 11, earning his first British National title at age 13 and continuing to hold this title till the age of 21. To add to the list of achievements Luis also ranked 8th in the ASP European junior tour and 11th in the Men's category.
Throughout his professional career Luis got to travel the globe and surf some of the world's best waves, Hawaii, Australia, California, New York, Samoa and the Maldives to name a few.

Surfing is our passion & we make it fun!
Like her brother Luis, Keshia started surfing from an early age and soon became Portuguese and British U18's champion by 2012. Keshia gained the Champion's title for the British Women's category in 2013 as well as continuing to hold the U18's title until 2014. To add to her belt our team rider also won European U18's Champion in 2014 and progressed to ranking 3rd in the WSL European Pro Junior tour last year; as well gaining a top 10 position in the current European WQS rankings. In between her travels around the globe competing, she will be one of the coaches at the lodge, lending her experience to you to give you the finest quality lesson and instruction there can be.

Elliss and Luis took over the lodge a year ago and look forward to welcoming all visitors old and new.
Elliss has a diploma in business management and comes from a hospitality background. After managing a busy bar and restaurant in the Warwickshire area of the UK and experience running a boutique hotel she makes the perfect front of house for the team.
